The Making of Mas
Advanced Carnival Skills course will be running in East London this Summer!
All Carnival practitioners, aspiring practitioners, artists, students, craftsmen and volunteers are invited to apply for training in:

  • Designing a Carnival Band
  • Flying Fabrics – Textiles Dying and Printing
  • Structural Design – The use of fibreglass rods
  • Pattern Cutting and Sewing - for 3D designs

The Making of Mas Course will culminate with performances and presentations at an Hand Over Ceremony in Coventry, the Thames Festival and Cultural Olympiad Launch Events across London

You will have the opportunity to crew with the Kinetika Team at these events.

The programme runs from 4th August to 22nd August.
9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

If you are looking for a school / college work experience placement, we have a variety of ongoing projects that we need help with in the office, studio and at events.

For artists, Kinetika offers opportunities through project internships, allowing volunteers to work alongside our core team. It’s a great way to gain experience working with a team of professional artists within a high quality performing arts company.
